Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Innovation Toolkit (the “Toolkit”), provided by Treehouse Innovation (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Toolkit, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are entitled to do so.
1. Your account and your access
- Access is granted to one named person. Your account is personal to you and must not be shared, resold or transferred, and your password must not be given to anyone else.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
- Where your organisation holds the licence, they decide who gets a seat and may withdraw yours. Withdrawal takes effect immediately.
- Your access continues while your subscription is active, or while your organisation’s licence covers your seat. When it ends, so does your ability to sign in.
2. What you may do with the templates
This is the part most people want to know, so plainly:
- You may download the templates, print them, put them on a digital whiteboard, and use them to run sessions, internally and with your own clients.
- You may adapt a template for a session you are running.
- You may not redistribute, publish, sell or license the templates themselves, whether as they are or edited, and whether or not you charge for them.
- You may not present the Toolkit, or its methods and templates, as your own product or as part of a competing product.
In short: use them freely in your work, but the templates themselves are not yours to hand on.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- share your account, or attempt to reach parts of the Toolkit you have not been given access to;
- copy the tool catalogue or templates in bulk, whether by hand or with automated tools;
- interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or attempt to disrupt it for others;
- use the Toolkit unlawfully, or to produce material that is unlawful, harassing or deceptive.
We may suspend or end access that breaches these terms.
4. The AI features
The Toolkit uses AI to suggest methods and to draft session agendas. These features are powered by OpenAI's models, hosted on Microsoft Azure. What they produce is a starting point produced by a machine, not professional advice, and it can be wrong or inappropriate for your situation. Review anything it produces before you rely on it or run it with a group. You remain responsible for the sessions you run and the decisions you take.
Do not enter confidential information, or personal information about other people, into those fields. What is sent to the AI provider is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Ownership
The Toolkit, its methods, templates, written guidance and design remain the intellectual property of Treehouse Innovation. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of it to you. Anything you write into the Toolkit, including the session agendas you save, stays yours.
6. Subscription and payment
- Individual access is sold as a subscription, monthly or annual, at the price shown when you sign up.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. The price at renewal is the price shown for your plan at that time; we will tell you by email before any increase takes effect.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Part-period refunds are not given once a period has started, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. If something has gone wrong, contact us and we will look at it properly.
- Organisation licences are covered by a separate agreement.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
7. Availability
We work to keep the Toolkit available and to look after your data, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally need to take it offline for maintenance, and we may change or withdraw features as the product develops.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost business, or for the outcome of decisions you take on the basis of anything the Toolkit produced. Our total liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Ending your access
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, and you can ask us to close your account. We may end access where these terms are breached, where a subscription lapses for non-payment, or where a licence has expired or been withdrawn by the organisation that holds it. What happens to your data on closure is set out in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will tell account holders by email where a change is significant. Continuing to use the Toolkit after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
